"I've now rowed 2X 4k stints in her and am now more used to the higher arm position without a seat cushion. A bit higher up on a cushion may help though.
"I've had to slow my stroke rate down (those big oars have a lot of inertia) but get along ok due to the big blades on the oars. She appears marginally slower than Seagull over the same distance however that may be me needing to get used to her. It may also be my imagination but I find the river current has less drag on her than Seagull.
"I also took the family out in her. Very little extra effort required. She is also surprisingly stable - again a good thing when the family is involved."
